How To Develop A Intention

How To Develop A Intention

Day to day I quite frequently brainstorm; whether it be on how I am going to help my children during the week with their homework to how I may fit all my tasks that need to be completed into one day. I always found mapping out as I like to call it helpful to figure out what is best for me in the current situation. I started using what my teacher in the 3rd grade use to refer to as "Spider-Webbing"; which later turned into just me making list of ideas, needs or thoughts and trying to find the main idea or what was most important.

Creating an Intention for spell and magick workings is no different. It is with the most utmost importance when we are working with our craft or performing our rituals that we are as specific as possible and as clear as can be. The last thing you would ever want is to get what you asked for... but only not... imagine this:

You spent your time creating your sacred space, setup your spell workings, spoke your intent and chant, did your closing pray. You are all set ready to go! You asked for you to have at least $1000.00 in your bank account by the end of the month. The month is going by, money is coming and going; you are paying all your bills. You are still falling behind. Your bank account is not staying a float but you are doing all that you can. Just about the month is over and you are just angry and frustrated! Stupid spell didn't work! What did I do wrong?

The answer was quite simple, it actually did work. Your bank account most definitely had $1000.00 by the end of the month, you just had to spent it! What you did wrong was, you were not specific enough in your intention. So with that being said review the chart above as an idea of what you can do to help yourself be as clear as possible during creating your intentions. I have also made a small step list below:

  1. Take a moment and write down all that comes flooding to your mind on a blank piece of paper. (I have a specific journal I use for spell working and intention creation)
  2. Once you have all your thoughts, ideas and/or concerns written down, look for a common theme amongst them.
  3. Take the common themes and combined them into a very specific intention or request.
  4. At this point you can now create your ritual and/or make your action plan

An Annual Indigenous Event

An annual Indigenous event that remembers and honors the Indigenous ancestors whom suffered or were murdered by the invaders and colonizers in 1492 to the present day. We also remember and honor all the Indigenous peoples that were stolen, and enslaved for the sake of racist patriarchal profit on Turtle Island.

As the so called "U.S.A" celebrates the memory of Christopher Columbus, the Indigenous community remembers our ancestral memory of loss as well as seeking justice and healing from our collective ancestral trauma.

Feel free to bring items for the ancestral altar (such as fruits/seeds/shells/herbal medicines). Come prepared with your voices, ancestral songs, and your drums and rattles as we make space to remember those who came before us.

Traditional Indigenous clothing or Regalia encouraged.

Please meet at Columbus Circle, by the Merchants gate at 2pm EST.

How Does Deity Come To A Person?

How does Deity come to a person?

4th-century Roman sarcophagus depicting the creation of man by Prometheus, with major Roman deities Jupiter, Neptune, Mercury, Juno, Apollo, Vulcan watching.

de·i·ty
/ˈdēədē,ˈdāədē/
noun
  • a god or goddess (in a polytheistic religion).
"a deity of ancient Greece"

  • divine status, quality, or nature.
"a ruler driven by delusions of deity"

Wicca believes that Deity comes to each person in a unique way that is best for that individual to

understand. Wicca believes that the relationship between a person and Deity is very personal and

subjective. It would be irrational to believe that everyone is in the same place, or have the same

understanding, or even on the same level of perspective as one another. Due to this we believe that no

one has the right to judge one another's relationship with Deity, because each and every one of us is

 different in our own right.
